Summer Volunteering
Summer is an awesome time to volunteer with Orphanage Outreach! The children are out of school and on vacation; Orphanage Outreach volunteers conduct learning camps for many children. Children attending the camps rotate through learning stations including English, reading, health, art, recreation, and more. Volunteers can join us for any amount of weeks, minimum one week Saturday to Saturday.
We offer both a Christian based program, and a program with no religious focus. The Christian program is designed for Christian church groups, individuals, and families. Christian camps will include a bible lesson and worship songs, and volunteers will participate in reflections and bible devotions. Volunteers of all faiths will be comfortable working in the learning camps that have no religious focus.
One to three month summer internships are very popular during the summer; it's a great opportunity for college students or older adults to experience a longer term program. Orphanage Outreach interns help to design and lead the summer learning camps. Internships are available for both the Christian and non-religious programs.
Families will enjoy a summer experience with Orphanage Outreach as an alternative vacation. For parents, it's great to have all the housing and food and transpiration taken care of. For kids, there is a never ending of fun activities to participate in. It's a relaxing but extremely rewarding vacation, full of important life lessons. Children under age 18 traveling with a parent receive a significant program fee scholarship.
