We invite all majors and minors to get involved."This program gives the volunteers an amazing opportunity to learn about a totally different culture in a way that teaches them not only about the lives of the Dominican people, but also about another way to live life."

Health Corps ProfessionalsOrphanage Outreach is an American non-profit organization that has been working in the northwest part of the Dominican Republic since 1994. Over 8000 international volunteers have joined us since 1994, with the majority of focus being on education. Originally focused solely on the local orphanages, thanks to volunteer growth the focus has expanded to include additional needs in the community. One area of true need is health education and treatment."Orphanage Outreach gave me the perfect opportunity to go to a different country and help the people there. Not only did they gain something while we were there, but our group did as well. It was an experience that will never be forgotten. I can't wait to do it again!"

Familiy VolunteeringAn Orphanage Outreach trip is a great experience to share with your family. We encourage families to join us any week of the year to make a big impact in the lives of many children."Our week at the Esperanza orphanage was, by far, the best family vacation we have had. I learned so much about both of our daughters seeing them interact with the children...and it was all positive and amazing. Their abilities to connect transcended language barriers, and all of the externals. I saw that there is a natural bond among children which is beautiful to behold. The truth is that I cannot imagine a better way for a family to spend its vacation time together. I plan to encourage all of our extended family and friends to consider participating in this voyage of discovery. I can promise them that it will be unlike any vacation they have ever taken.""

Individual VolunteersEach year many volunteers travel with us solo. You don't need to have a team to make a big difference!"I had a most amazing experience, it wasn't your typical partying spring break, but an "experience" of meeting new people, children, cultures, languages, environments, and ideas."
