Groups (10 or more):
Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a $200/volunteer scholarship toward the trip participant fee. In addition, for each 10 paid adult trip participant fees, the 11th fee is waived.
- Thoroughly review the information on this website. If you have questions, e-mail volunteer@orphanage-outreach.org, or call us at (602) 375-2900.
- Complete the Group Registration Form. You can charge the deposit to a credit card when registering, or you can send the $100/volunteer non-refundable deposit check by mail to the address at the bottom of this page, with the check made out to Orphanage Outreach.
- Have each team member complete the Individual Trip Registration Form, signing up under your team name.
- Review the Volunteer Guide, share it with the team, and encourage them to share it with their family. Their families often have more concerns and questions than they do. This will help answer many questions before they come to you.
- Purchase your airline tickets. Please do not purchase tickets prior to receiving your trip confirmation.
- Encourage each team member to complete their medical precautions.
- Encourage each team member to raise funds for their trip participant fee, and additional funds for basic educational needs at the orphanage, university education, etc. Each volunteer can use the "Friends Asking Friends" web page they created when signing up for the trip to send a simple fund-raising e-mail to their "holiday card list" is the most efficient and effective way for groups to raise funds. A sample editable fund-raising template is included in the "Friends Asking Friends" software.
- We will send you an Orphanage Outreach tee-shirt for each member of your team, which we request they wear while traveling to the Dominican Republic. The shirts will help us locate your team at the airport in Santiago.

- Arrange with your doctor to complete any medical precautions you decide on.
- Raise funds for your trip participant fee, and additional funds for basic educational needs at the orphanage, university education, etc. Use the "Friends Asking Friends" personal fund-raising web page you created when registering for the trip. A sample editable fund-raising template letter is included in the "Friends Asking Friends" software.
- Send in your remaining trip participant fee, any additional funds raised, and flight information (arriving and departing airline, airport, flight numbers, and times) to the address below so that it arrives in our office at least 30 days prior to the trip.
- We will send you your Orphanage Outreach tee-shirt, which we request you wear during your travel to the Dominican Republic.
